Are you ready to be part of our journey? - Purpose of the role:
- Coordination of the timely preparation of all export declarations for worldwide deliveries from Campus South, considering and complying with the legal requirements under customs and foreign trade.
Collaboration in departmental and company-wide projects on export customs issues.
Definition of export-relevant processes and support for operational implementation.
Supervision and monitoring of broker activity, including KPI definition and control.
Proactive monitoring and continuous improvement of all export processes with the aim of optimizing delivery times to ensure availability of goods to the customer.
Support in the definition and implementation of new export customs processes, including testing. - What you'll do:
- Day-to-day management of the export customs function and ensuring the timely customs clearance by the broker.
- Monitor the smooth data transfer from adidas ERP to Expeditors.
- Error correction and assistance on the data creation/transfer.
Analysis of the root cause to define actions to correct further impacts.
- Support master data transfer needed by the broker to create the export declaration.
- Execution of checks and controls to ensure complete, accurate and timely export declarations.
- Monitoring business changes to support any needed impact assessment and define actions with broker as necessary.
- Communicate outbound volumes forecast with broker.
Monitor and analyze any discrepancy on the forecasts having an impact on the broker performance.
- Ensure documented procedures and SOPs is maintained
- Supports activities relating the company's participation in supply chain accreditation programs (e. g. , AEO, C-TPAT, etc) by implementing relevant controls and procedures
- Support broker selection process, including broker management
- Support analysis of customs data for various project
- Document management with the broker.
- Represent adidas in meetings with broker and customs authorities to support physical inspection affecting goods from/to Campus South.
- Skills you'll need
- Training of external/internal employees on export-related topics
- Good planning and organizational skills, and ability to work and deliver in dynamic environments while adhering to specified deadlines
- Definition of legally compliant export processes as well as export-relevant scenarios
- Very good communication skills to represent adidas with broker and customs authorities
- High degree of self-management, enthusiasm and result-driven
- Ability to read, analyse, interpret, and explain government regulations
- Proficient use of Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access)
- Experience and familiarity with BI Tools (MicroStrategy, Tableau, etc. )
and Project Management Tools (MS Project, Smartsheet)
- Requirements:
- A degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis on the areas of business, economics, logistics, supply chain, information system or operations or equivalent experience in customs business
- 3-5 years' experience in supply chain management, ideally in the apparel / footwear industries, having experience in a DC will be a plus
- AEO knowledge highly appreciated
- Fluency in English, Written and Spoken
- Fluency in Italian, Written and Spoken
