The Position As an External Communication Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational support of the company's external communication activities within different therapeutic areas and establishing strong relationships with external stakeholders (relevant editorial groups, journalists) to support Novo Nordisk's strategic positioning in Italy. This role aligns with External Affairs objectives and involves strong collaboration with Business Units functions. You will report directly to the Head of External Communication. Your main accountabilities will be: Developing and implementing communication strategies to enhance Novo Nordisk's corporate reputation and support strategic initiatives, product launches, and data disclosure, ensuring 100% compliance with Novo Nordisk's procedures, corporate communications, and disclosure rules. Delivering, from idea to execution, innovative Disease Awareness and Patient Activation projects in key therapeutic areas. Monitoring media coverage and managing media relations to maintain a positive public image. Preparing and disseminating press releases, media statements, and other communication materials. Organizing and managing events, press conferences, and other media-related activities, as well as managing issues and providing support to Crisis. Qualifications To be considered for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in communication and media relations, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry. Strong understanding of the Italian media landscape and experience in managing media relations. Proficiency in the English language. As a person, you possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Your strong organizational and project management skills, combined with your ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure, make you a highly efficient and productive individual. Your proactive, creative, and strategic thinking, coupled with your strong problem-solving skills, allows you to effectively navigate challenges and identify innovative solutions.
