Facility Manager
Client Description**:
This is an interesting opportunity to enter a Tuscan manufacturing reality of industrial plant that is part of an international group and characterized by a high technological content.
**Responsibilities**:
Reporting in solid line to the Italy Country Leader, the Facility Manager shall:
- Identify the local company needs and define facility management strategies and policies;
- Manage and monitor the facility activities and needs at an economic-financial and logistic level;
- Draw up and execute maintenance and upgrade plans of the facility and related tools;
- Find suppliers and external companies to whom entrust maintenance and soft services ;
- Manage relations with external companies for contracts to provide services for facility & functions;
- Negotiate the work to be carried out with the building ownership for maintenance and upgrade purposes;
- Liaise with the local external IT support to ensure the equipment functionality;
- Manage branch vehicle fleet (maintenance, insurance, lease contracts);
- Scout, manage and report national, regional and local financing;
- Coordinate special projects at branch level to assure proper visibility of products and activities in the region;
- Support the country leader for management of legal issues;
- Manage the agreements with universities/institutes for stagers across the duration of the agreed periods;
- Manage the organization of facility visits and front desk activities;
- Link with travel agents for the organization of business travels in higher risk / remote countries
- In support of the HR function, the Facility Manager shall also finalize the work contract for new hires of the local branch, liaise with the external company in charge of payroll administration and assure the proper execution of time tracking and recording procedure for the local employees.
- Master degree in Economics/Communication Science;
- Minimum of 4 years experience in the management of mid-size facilities (5000 m2; 40 HC);
- Minimum of 4 years experience with external entities/bodies/service supply companies;
- Familiar with labor and security laws, norm, standards, supply contracts, agreements;
- Autonomy, conviction and persuasion;
- Resource focus and action oriented personality;
- Attitude to results and priority setting capability;
- Ability to synthesize and present results to the management;
- Ability to prevent issues through 'think ahead' and 'what if' practices;
- Curiosity and ability to develop solutions and alternatives to main plans;
- Fluency in spoken and written English (German or French constitute a plus);
- Rigorous & reliable: leading by example;
- Communication skills both oral and in writing.
