As a Field Engineer, you will be is responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting for the full range of hardware and software products in the Nexus Control Solutions portfolio.
Primarily customers will be within the Oil & Gas and Power Generation industries internationally and may be located both onshore and offshore.
As a Field Services Control Technical Advisor, you will be responsible for:
- Installing and commissioning Control Solutions hardware and software in a wide variety of machine types encountered in the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Fertilizers, and other process industries
- Troubleshooting existing Control Solutions hardware and software installations on-site
- preparing field services jobs and interventions with the project managers
- Providing technical assistance and training to customers employees as needed
- Supervising mechanical and electrical sub-contractors, and instrumentation de-installation / reinstallation
- Leading and executing loop check and commissioning phase performing the functional tests
- Leading and executing unit start-up and performance tests ensuring proper and safe operation of the machine by evaluating the running parameters and troubleshoot control system problem as they arise
- Maintaining accurate timesheets and acquire customer's signature on timesheets before leaving the job site
- Writing accurate and detailed reports after completion of each job
**Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Electrical / Electronic/ Mechanic/IT Engineering, or Technical High School
- Have work experience in Oil & Gas and Power Plant industry field activities
- Have electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, "hands-on approach"
- Have knowledge in rotating equipment control philosophy (Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Centrifugal Compressor, Reciprocate Compressor) and their auxiliaries
- Have knowledge in unit control panel (UCP), motor control center (MCC), direct current panel (DCP), distributed control system (DCS) and fire fighting system installation and commissioning
- Have knowledge in field devices, instruments and actuators (servo-valves, thermo elements, transmitters etc'¦)
- Be available to travel frequently nation/worldwide (on/off shore)
- Able to fluently speak and write in English and Italian
- Have valid driver's license and passport (or able to obtain a passport).
