About the Role We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer (FSE) to join our technical support team in Europe.

Based in our office just north of Milan, Italy you will play a critical role in providing technical expertise, maintenance, and customer support for our Fiber Laser Systems.

This position requires a self-motivated, hands-on professional with strong problem-solving skills, technical proficiency, and a customer-focused mindset.

Experience in support of fiber lasers is beneficial but not essential.

Key Responsibilities Installation & Commissioning: -Install, set up, and commission CW fiber laser systems at customer sites, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.

Maintenance & Repairs: -Conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and perform repairs on fiber laser source in both the field and the office.

Technical Support: -Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers, offering timely resolutions to technical inquiries and issues.

Training & Documentation: -Train customers and operators on laser system usage, care, and safety procedures.

-Maintain detailed service reports, documentation, and logs for completed tasks and identified issues.

Customer Engagement: -Build strong relationships with customers by delivering exceptional service and acting as a trusted technical advisor.

Collaboration: -Work closely with the global service team and engineering departments to share insights and implement improvements.

Travel: -Travel throughout Italy (and occasionally other regions) to support customer needs, with occasional international training or meetings.

Qualifications and Skills Education: -Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field is preferred.

Experience: -At least 2 years of experience, in field service engineering (installation, maintenance, and repair).

-Experience with fiber laser systems is a plus.

Technical Skills: -Proficiency with system operation, diagnostics, and repair.

-Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance.

-Strong understanding of electrical, optical, and mechanical systems.

-Experience with CAD or technical diagrams is a plus.

Soft Skills: -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.

-Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Language: -Fluency in Italian and professional proficiency in English are required.

Other Requirements: -Valid driving license.

-Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally.
