About the job We are looking for an ambitious finance professional who will support Financial Planning & Analysis activities.
Reporting to the local Finance Director, the ideal candidate will have a passion for building analytical models and using their financial and business acumen to help drive the business forward.
She/he will support in the preparation of quality financial statement packages and the drafting of budgets and forecasts, as well as the implementation and improvement of finance processes to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness across the finance function.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, is analytical, detail oriented and will possess the ability to work well with cross-functional teams across Deliveroo.
The role is based in Milan, with at least 3 days a week to be worked from the office.
What you'll do: Build and maintain detailed financial reports and models.
Analyse performance of the business on a weekly, monthly, quarterly basis to understand drivers of performance and synthesise findings to leadership.
Leverage your experience and knowledge to identify areas of strategic interest and frame approaches to tackle them.
Collaborate with both local and HQ Finance teams to prepare and consolidate budgets.
Ensure linkage to central functions in execution of country initiatives, deployment of new products/capabilities and alignment with company-wide missions.
What we're looking for: At least 4 years of relevant industry or startup experience.
Strong modelling skills, including excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and G-Sheet.
Able to influence cross-functional teams without authority.
Comfort in working independently in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
The ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable conclusions.
Strong written and oral communication skills combined with the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritise workloads.
Italian and English language is a must.
Solid business judgement and controllership focus.
