Who We're Looking For

We're looking for an enthusiastic Finance Assistant to join our finance team in Milan.

The Finance Assistant plays a key role in supporting the finance team by ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, maintaining records, and contributing to the smooth operation of the company's financial processes. This position involves a mix of operational and administrative tasks, with opportunities to assist on broader financial projects.

What Your Day To Day Will Look Like

Reporting to the AP/AR Manager, you will work as part of a wider team with these key responsibilities:

Ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and in a timely mannerCoding sales and purchase invoices correctly, liaising with managers to allocate costs and VAT codes appropriatelyVerifying that authorization and sign-off levels comply with company policy before payments are madePreparing payment runs and updating the cashflow forecast to maintain financial accuracyReconciling supplier accounts with internal records and addressing discrepanciesAssisting in the continuous improvement and streamlining of the accounts payable processSupporting the group finance team with month-end activities and internal reporting requirementsProducing daily treasury updates and emails for senior managementCollaborating on ad-hoc internal projects as required by the group finance team Requirements:

Previous experience in a finance or accounts payable role is desirableStrong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracyKnowledge of accounting principles and VAT regulationsProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft ExcelExcellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectivelyA proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement What You Need To Succeed

Prior experience in a similar roleFluent in English and Italian is mandatoryAnalytical skills, accuracy, and thorough attention to detailAble to keep calm under pressure and a diplomatic but firm mannerExperience working within an international fashion business would be advantageous What We Offer
