Based in Milan, Italy, BMP TAPPI is a manufacturer of protective plastic caps and plugs with over 60 years of history and an excellent track-record of consistent growth.

Reporting to the Italian Head of Finance Italy and sub region, the BMP Finance Controller will be part of the wider EMEA Finance network.

The Finance Controller will help the BMP Finance Manager to complete the monthly set of accounts in line with the Essentra Accounting Manual, for the site tax compliance (with the support of the Group Tax department) and for the submission of forecasts and budget validated by the site General Manager.

The Finance Controller will support the site finance health analysis and will support the site transformation.

They will be responsible for building and maintaining a strong reporting suite and framework that helps the business understand performance, key risks and opportunities as well as supporting the period end and preparation of forecasting and budgeting cycles.

**Job Requirements

- Organise and prepare with the local management, the forecasts as well as the yearly budget leading to the submission to Region / Group alongside full required analysis,

- Ensure preparation of monthly Control File with all relevant documentation, with the BMP FM,

- Support full business integration in Essentra,

- Supporting Leadership Team and other business stakeholders to ensure they have adequate knowledge of financial performance, reporting and measurement to make business decisions;

- Managing the period-end managerial accounting closure, through the Group reporting & planning system;

- Preparation of monthly managerial reporting package (variance analysis and commentary);

- Support the integration between finance, business and operative functions in the most critical planning & control processes;

- Ensuring preparation of analysis on profitability, cost efficiencies (elimination of waste and non-value added);

- Identify operating issue and make recommendation that will make a positive impact on the site financial performance;

- Accountable for the product costing and standard costing process;

- Ensuring data consistency between systems operating in the company;

- Work with large amounts of structured and unstructured data and verify their correctness;

- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and audits.

- Support and ensure cost efficiency,

- Maintain, with supporting documentations, the Minimum Control Standard (MCS), ensure deviations are dully validated and action plans to meet the MCS are in place and followed-up, together with the BMP FM,

- Support the year end audit and responsibility for delivery of own and direct reports audit requests,

- Support Financial Planning & Analysis Team along with the wider finance team on ad-hoc work including projects,

- Continually identify risks to delivery, propose solutions where necessary and effectively manage stakeholder expectations throughout.

**Previous experience as a Financial Controller or similar role is essential.
