Finance DirectorFor a branch of a multinational Group operating in industrial business and owned by a Private Equity Fund I'm looking for a Finance Director who will be reporting to the Group CFO in HQ and hierarchically to the Italian GM, supervising a small-medium team in accounting, reporting and customer service

The Group is a multinational Company with an Italian branch operating in industrial and manufacturing sector and based close to Cremona and Parma

Description The candidate will be part of the Finance Department and will be responsible for the following activities:

Manage the accounting processes for the Italian branch, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements and the Group's accounting guidelinesLead and manage a small team located close to Cremona, fostering collaboration and communication to maintain high productivity levelsExecuting monthly closing entries, reconciliations and management of deferred and accrual accountsCoordinating month-end closing activities and overseeing daily, operational mattersLiaise with the HQ finance team to ensure smooth financial integration of the Italian branch numbers into the Group's consolidated reportingPreparing and maintaining financial ledgers, including analytical transactionsManaging balance sheet reconciliation and review processesEnsuring effective cash planning follow-upHandling VAT declarations, Intrastat, Intracommunity listing, and other reportingPreparing annual accounts, financial statements and statisticsTaking up HR administration regarding the local payroll and interacting with payroll partnerIdentify opportunities to streamline financial processes and implement practices to enhance efficiency and effectivenessLiaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial stakeholders to support audit and tax compliance activitiesPrepare timely and accurate financial reports for senior management, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-makingParticipate in Group (M&A) projects where relevantProfile Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics10 to 15 years of relevant experience in accountingExperience in Big Four audit company preferredExcellent communication skills in English and ItalianExperience in managing a local team of accountants and collaborating with remote HQ teamStrong technical accounting skillsExperience with ERP systems is a must, experience with Navision is a plusCan-do attitude and problem-solving skillsStrong analytical, presentation and coaching skillsJob Offer Great opportunity in a branch of a multinational Group
