- Management Information
Produce comprehensive financial and commercial information in a timely manner
Prepare all analysis required together with comparatives to budgets / forecasts
Ensure all underlying accounting records are maintained in accordance with best practice
- Continually evaluate and evolve procedures and controls to ensure transactions are processed accurately and efficiently
- Payroll
Check payroll information provided by the payroll bureau
Perform adequate checks to ensure the payroll has been correctly calculated
Post payroll journals
- Ensure all payroll associated payments such as local tax, local pensions and World Vision are accurate and paid on time
- Tax, EC Sales List and Intrastats
- Ensure processes are in place and adhered to in order to capture accurately all data required to complete local tax returns, local EC Sales Lists and local Intrastats
- Complete and submit local tax returns, local EC Sales Lists and local Intrastats by the required date and ensure any payments are made on time
- Register new companies for local tax
Liaise with Italian tax authorities as required
- New Companies
- Perform day to day transactions whilst establishing procedures to be followed for any new companies incorporated
- Once established, delegate the day to day management of the new company to a member of the team and ensure they are adequately trained and supported
PERSONAL SKILLS
- Qualified accountant with 3 to 5 years PQE
- Ability to produce management accounts and analysis
- Payroll experience is desirable
- Good understanding of Italian Tax and legislation
- Ability to organise work load and prioritise to maximum effect
- Accurate data input essential
- Ability to pick up systems and processes quickly
- Demonstrate excellent MS Excel skills
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Positive can-do attitude, ability to maintain a positive attitude in demanding situations
- Willingness to take on a variety of duties as required
- Good English skills to help communicate with wider team
- Fluent in the Italian language
