Finance Project Controller
Local Unit & Position Description:

The
**Finance
**Project Controller** will play a critical part in improving finance processes and operating mechanism in the most relevant SCPA Unit (Italy) and then upscaling to other geographies once familiar with tools and processes.
**Objective of the role**:
The Finance Project Controller is part of the Area Project Controlling team and reports to the Area
Business Controller in charge of the Italian Unit.
The Project Controller will be working with Project and Operations Managers, Sales & Marketing Teams to minimize commercial risks on projects and maximize revenue and cash flow.
He/she will be responsible for monitoring financial KPIs, ensuring quality and accuracy of project accounting, proper expenditures allocation, revenue recognition, timely invoicing, project profitability and Work in Progress (WIP) calculation.
The Finance Project Controller will also work closely with the Collections Team to improve cash generation and anticipate/resolve any issues with Customers.
The person in this role must be autonomous and fully accountable for the tasks he/she will perform.
Position Qualifications:
**Key accountabilities and tasks of the role**:
- Has high proficiency in working with relevant systems (Oracle, Finance Power BI) performing quality project revenue & costs control and recognition, transaction error monitoring and proper expenditures coding, WIP control and reduction, during the month-end financial close
- Ensures compliance to the overall processes she/he is responsible for
- Acts as Business Partner for Project and Line Managers by leading regular financial reviews of the projects' portfolio
- Facilitates channel of communication with different stakeholder (mainly project managers and service line leaders)
- Has ability in prioritizing her/his agenda and in timely delivering extra support when needed by working along with the Invoicing Department
- Conducts monthly review meetings with all PMs to support project management & expenditures review to improve profitability across the different service lines
- Supports Area Business Controller on the overall management of the business model, financial planning & analysis and forecast process
- Supports the Management in the preparation of "ad hoc" Business or Corporate Reviews
- Interacts and collaborates with other supporting functions in the Business and the Organization (Global Shared Services, Business, Corporate and Global functions)
**Position Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or equivalent (preferred)
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Experience in Oracle or similar (must)
- Fluent in English
