Financial Accountant - Hotellerie

Our client operates in the luxury hospitality sector and is an international hotel chain with a global presence. The company is seeking a Financial Accountant. The Financial Accountant will play a key role in supporting the Director of Finance across all financial operations. This includes driving financial performance, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, overseeing month-end closing activities, and reviewing financial statements in line with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), the Uniform System of Accounts, and Hilton's internal policies and procedures. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth execution of all financial activities within the hotel, maintaining full compliance with policies, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations. The Assistant Director of Finance will work closely with the hotel finance team and management, fostering strong relationships with various internal and external stakeholders, including Commercial, IT, Procurement, Operations, Shared Service Centers (where applicable), Owners, Asset Managers, and Regional Operations Finance. In the absence of the Director of Finance, the Assistant Director will assume leadership of the department, ensuring continuity and efficiency in financial operations. Additionally, this role will contribute to building a high-performing finance team by actively participating in development programs and supporting talent growth within the department. What We Are Looking For Strong knowledge of Italian tax and fiscal regulations. Ability to analyze large volumes of complex financial data, generating reports, forecasts, and projections. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to address issues effectively and collaboratively. Proactive approach in identifying and mitigating potential financial risks. Leadership skills to develop and mentor team members. High level of attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. Ability to prepare and deliver impactful presentations to various stakeholders, including senior management, hotel teams, and owners. Strong communication and negotiation skills at all levels. Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to quickly adapt to new financial systems as required.
