Wood is recruiting for a Fire Protection Designer working On Call to support our Life Sciences division based in Milan, working on a specific conceptual design project for one of our best Pharmaceutical Client.

**The Role

Fire Protection Designer who will perform the following activities:

- updating of existing fire protection layouts.

- execution of a technical narrative including description of fire protection systems and technical constrains related to current local fire protection codes.

- execution of Fire Brigades permitting plan.

- site survey.

- meetings with Client and Fire Brigades.

You will work with a multi-disciplined team.

You will interact with the client and with the Fire Brigades to define the design basis for the next phases of the project.

**Typical Responsibilities

- Concept Design Fire Protection Engineering activities for the assigned project.

- Preparation / review of Fire Protection drawings and Technical Narrative.

- Control and forecast issue dates of deliverables against schedule.

- Interface with other disciplines, clients, Fire Brigades.

- Work as part of a team by supporting each other, sharing workload and covering during periods of absence.

- Contribute and participate to work in an enthusiastic manner, working to the requirements of quality.

Skills / Qualifications:

**Requirements**:

- MSc / BSc degree in Civil engineering.

- Previous experience in a Fire Protection Designer role within engineering companies for the pharmaceutical sector is essential

- Ability to work across multi-discipline teams

- Fluent in spoken and written Italian language is a mandatory requirement.

Ability to speak English also is desirable

- Eligible to work in Italy
