Seeking a highly motivated and innovative firmware engineer.

The candidate would be working as part of a highly experienced PHY IP team, and be involved in developing firmware for embedded processors in current and next generation SerDes products.

Also, the candidate would be responsible for FW development in the lab, and of the related verification with real silicon during the bring up phase.

The position offers an excellent opportunity to work with an expert team of engineers responsible for delivering high-end mixed-signal designs from specification development to prototype test-chips and state-of-the-art IP products.

Main Responsibilities:Firmware development for embedded microprocessorsDesigning, developing, and testing C/C++ based functions and applicationsInteract with team members during firmware development and debuggingCollaboration with firmware and hardware teams from other sitesParticipate in firmware integration, debug and silicon hardware bring upKey Qualifications:BSEE or MSEE with 4+ years of embedded software developmentExcellent firmware development and programming skillsExperience with structured firmware development, verification and documentation processDemonstrated experience executing projects from start to completionExperience working with internal team members and customers on complex technical issuesPreferred Experience / KnowledgeExperience with digital logic design, simulation and debug using Verilog and SystemVerilogBasic understanding of SerDes standards is an assetScripting experience (Bash, Tcl, Python, Perl) is an assetGood organization and communication skillsAt Synopsys, we're at the heart of the innovations that change the way we work and play.
