Fixed Access Network Engineer
Key responsibilities:
The candidate will be part of Fixed Access Engineering department with specific responsibility in Engineering of IP components (BRAS, Routers). The candidate will:
• Service: Work with the other Verticals to manage requests of new services or architectures receiving an optimal High-level Design
• LLD: Translate the High-Level Design in Low Level design dealing with all the vendors involved.
• Modernisation: Manage the delivery in field of new technologies and solutions defining with vendors and partners the Acceptance frame, defining MoP (Method of Procedures) and FoA (First Office Application) with all stakeholders including Operations
• Capacity: Plan (with Planning and ND) & execute (with ND & Operations) capacity & coverage rollout to guarantee the proper resource availability
• CBS: Guarantee CBS Security compliance accordingly to CBS department guidelines
• LCM: Guarantee the good state of Life Cycle Management of all the technologies in its competence (BRAS & Routers)
Core competencies, knowledge and experiences:
• Deep Knowledge of IP Networks
• Extended experience in technology involved (BRAS, Routers, AAA platfoms)
• Strong ability in delivering complex projects
Technical / professional qualifications Network:
o Proven knowledge of Radius Protocol
o Deep Knowledge of IP Fundamentals and its various Protocols (PPPoE, IPoE, BGP, MPLS, L3VPN)
o Deep Knowledge in BRAS & Routers technologies (Nokia, Huawei, CIsco)
o Understending of CBS (Cyber Security) topics
o Understanding of Fixed Access, Broadband & and Ethernet LAN
o Understanding of Virtualization stack (VmWARE, K8s kubernetes)
o Understanding of Network virtualization technologies, SDNs, NFV
o Certifications: formal training or certifications of any of the following vendors would be welcome (FTTH Council, BBWF, Cisco, Nokia)
o Network security

o Outstanding ability in analysis / Problem Solving
o Team working/Negotiation skills/Public speaking
o Strong customer orientation/Cooperation
o Knowledge of Project Management methods
o Qualifications
o STEM University Degree
o 3-5 years' experience in Fixed/Mobile Service design role.
o English and Italian fluent
