D-Orbit is looking for new colleagues to join our Spaceflight Operations Team.

Position: Spaceflight Operation EngineerAs Spaceflight Operation Engineer you will be tasked with commanding and controlling D-Orbit's Fleet of Carriers and Reconnaissance and Servicing Vessels. From D-Orbit's mission control centre, you will conduct end-to-end mission operations, from design to execution, from launch to final deorbiting. Activities like satellite tasking, telemetry dump and post-processing, contingency and ground operations, failure detections and recovery as long as operations planning and scheduling, and flight dynamics will be part of D-Orbit's Spaceflight Operations team duties.

TasksCommand and control the company's proprietary satellites and their payloadsDetailed operations requirements and design definitionsInterfacing with all subsystems and software team to define use cases, on-ground and on-orbit operationsSupport to ground systems and integration with space segmentOn-orbit operations procedures definitions and verificationOn-orbit operations planning, scheduling and execution throughout the missionsFlight dynamics maintenance and manoeuvre planningAnomaly identification and resolutionAuthoring of Technical documentsQualifications and RequirementsKnowledge of System Engineering, Orbital and Attitude DynamicsKnowledge of Spaceflight OperationsKnowledge of flight dynamics tools (Orekit, GMAT, etc. )Knowledge of Ground Segment architecturesExperience with scripting languages (Python)Availability to work outside normal office working hoursStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProactive attitude and ability to work in team and individuallyExperience in spaceflight operations and/or AIV processes is a strong plusKnowledge of spaceflight dynamics and manoeuvre planning is a strong plusFamiliarity with On-Board Control Procedures concepts is a plusEducationAdvanced University degree (master's degree or equivalent), preferably in Aerospace/Space Engineering
