Our guests come to us for something that goes beyond their usual hotel expectations, so we're looking for a Floor Manager for our Restaurant, who can create a memorable experience that leaves everyone feeling brilliantly cared for all day long in our outlets. You'll know exactly who needs what and when, you'll remember their names and you'll be ready to help our guests, welcoming them with a warm and delicious experience. In your role as Floor Manager , you will be responsible for maintaining the R&B operations in conjunction with the R&B Manager, Restaurant Manager, and Head of Mixology. Your primary responsibility is to manage the floor team in order to deliver a successful and efficient service whilst upholding art'otel service standards and creating an approachable yet elevated atmosphere for guests and staff. You'll ensure that members have an enjoyable experience and deliver excellent service from initial greeting, taking orders, making recommendations, and processing payments. How you do it: You'll support the new hire onboarding and training to ensure the R&B Team is polished, elevated, and approachable. You'll coordinate and run the reservations system. You'll support the R&B Manager and Restaurant Manager with R&B stock counts and orders. You'll assist the Restaurant Manager in training on wine, food, and beverage menus. You'll be a master in wine knowledge and hold all necessary wine certifications. You'll handle cash and report daily revenues as per hotel standards. You'll ensure the safe opening and closing of the R&B outlets. You'll work with the culinary team on menus, service, and product availability. You'll ensure the R&B area is cleaned and H&S compliant for each shift, participating in daily briefings with the restaurant/bar team. You'll take the lead in seeking new business regarding our hotel's private hire offerings for social events. You'll manage the client journey, from enquiry through to the big day, covering everything from site visits to menu tastings. You'll supervise events happening in the hotel, working closely with our Operations and Kitchen teams to ensure smooth execution. You'll create a happy, friendly, and collaborative work environment. You'll streamline service operations, ensuring everything flows smoothly from setup to delivery to breakdown. You'll monitor costs, implementing measures to continuously improve the experience for customers and staff without compromising quality. You'll gather guest feedback to enhance our R&B experience. You'll schedule and allocate tasks, keeping everything organized for efficiency and productivity. You'll provide ongoing training and development opportunities for all team members, in line with art'otel's training and SOP standards. You'll follow the guidance and instructions given by your leadership team, backed by PPHE's standard operating procedures. What you bring: You'll discuss and agree on key objectives with your line manager to support your department's goals and priorities. You'll also take responsibility for your own development, embracing training opportunities while learning from challenges and mistakes. You'll have a solid understanding of competitors' products and venues, using this knowledge to establish and adjust our selling strategy. You're able to switch between being proactive and reactive, focusing on driving incremental business into the hotel through multiple revenue streams, segments, and industries. You're confident in creating strong links with all hotel departments to ensure all commercial objectives, targets, KPIs, and budgets are achieved.
