Food & Beverage - Night Cook Cleaner
Description
The Night Cook/Cleaner is responsible for cooking and plating all late-night food orders in an efficient, healthful, and attractive manner as well as end of shift cleaning duties in the kitchen.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Cooking Responsible for food preparation following standardized recipes. Creates meals according to menu and recipes as set by the Chef. Ensures that all food is handled and cooked in a wholesome, sanitary manner. Maintains kitchen and supply room in a sanitary and organized fashion. Follows plate presentation specifications as directed. Communicates effectively any issues with the chef. Closely follows the F&B department health and personal hygiene policy. Other duties as directed by management. Cleaning Cleans all Grills, Broilers, Fryers, Stoves, Ovens, Hot boxes and all cooking surfaces throughout the night shift. Cleans and dumps all garbage cans. Cleans and maintains the dish room washing machine as well as the pot washer and all stainless-steel surfaces. Uses Chemical in a safe manner following our safety procedures and follows the MSDS instructions with all chemicals being labeled and stored in the chemical storage areas only. Other duties as directed by management. WORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, Team Members may be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke, including regular exposure for those working on the casino floor. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and can occasionally reach a high level for short periods of time.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours. Must be able to carry, reach, twist, bend and squat frequently. Must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance as needed. EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND ELIGIBILITY Minimum age requirement for this position is 18 years old. Possess or obtain Food Handlers Card within 30 days of employment. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing or by other acceptable means. Comply with pre-employment, random and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing. Receive and maintain a valid gaming license from the CTCLUSI Tribal Gaming Commission. Availability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays based on the needs of the department and for special casino events.
