Food Manager
Manages a food facility where snacks and soft drinks are served/sold, and where fresh and frozen foods may be sold.
Job location: Europe, Italy, Vicenza, Food Operations
1.
Plans, coordinates, and supervises all facets of the food operation.
Assigns work to, and observes and corrects performance and conduct of subordinates.
Schedules and approves leave.
Initiates personnel actions including disciplinary measures.
Determines staffing needs and supervises or gives on-the-job training.

Directs and supervises activities in customer service areas, especially during peak business.
Controls customer contact and service, display and pricing of snacks and other food items, preparation and portioning of snacks, availability of silverware and trays at counter line, cash register operation, bussing of tables, and cleanliness of dining room and policing of areas surrounding facility.
Ensures compliance with standard recipes and portioning.
Settles customer complaints and corrects reported deficiencies.

Reviews and/or requisitions food items for serving and expense supplies.
Controls the receiving, storage, stock control, stock rotation, issue, and transfer of food items and supplies.
Transfers fresh food to avoid spoilage.
Writes-off food items unsuitable for consumption or sale.
Directs inventory activities to include merchandise counts, as applicable.

Reviews and certifiers accounting documents, account records, and operational reports for correctness.
Clarifies discrepancies and problems.
Establishes internal control procedures.
Responsible for facility change fund and safeguards and releases cash intakes.
5.
Prepares budget forecasting, anticipated sales, and expenses.
Reviews salary to sales ratios, spoilage, shrinkage, consumption of expense supplies, and other factors to determine areas in need of improvement.
Explains deviations from budgeted figures.
6.
Responsible for food items, expenses supplies, facility fixtures, and equipment.
Initiates repair of equipment and fixtures.
Recommends arrangement of physical layout and renovation or remodeling of facilities.
Requests new equipment.
7.
Enforces compliance with sanitation, safety, and security requirements.
Observes personal cleanliness of employees and ensures that health standards are complied with.
8.
Actively communicates/promotes the benefits of the military star credit card and other corporate programs to customers to drive sales growth and increase customer brand loyalty.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

- **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:_
Six months of restaurant or related food service operations experience, or successful completion of NBFF training or the Exchange Restaurant Operations Management Academy (ROMA)
**MUST BE FLUENT IN SPOKEN AND WRITTEN ENGLISH**.
