Job Title: Food Services SpecialistStatus: This position could be one full-time or two part-time positions. Brighton Center, Inc. is a private non-profit community-based organization with the mission to create opportunities for individuals and families to reach self-sufficiency through family support services, education, employment, and leadership. Purpose:To provide quality food service to the Recovery Center and to support Center Table Catering by providing an excellent customer experience to the community as a leading provider of food service for meetings, events, and special occasions. Job Responsibilities:Ensure that meals for catering and the Center meals are cost-effective and prepared in accordance with NKY Health Dept standards. Assist in preparing weekly menus and provide nutritious meals in the recovery program that meet DOC and VA standards. Work cooperatively with area non-profit agencies and private requests for catering services. Transport and serve food in accordance with NKY Health Department standards. Process SNAP benefits. Monitor food inventory. Ensure compliance of the physical worksite with NKY Health Department standards. Meet agency goals and outcomes as outlined. Requirements:HS Diploma is required. Food Service Certification is a plus; obtaining this certification will be required if not already obtained. Must be able to work all shifts, including weekends, as needed for Catering events. Excellent customer service skills. Good driving record and valid driver's license. Ability to proactively manage inventory. Great communication skills within a team.
