We're looking for a Footwear Engineering Technician who supports the Design and Product development team to guarantee a smooth transition from the first sketch to the final product.

The selected Technician will cooperate with the team to ensure that projects are efficiently translated into finished products, respecting company quality standards and optimizing production processes.

Requirement Degree in footwear patterns making Long-term experience as a Footwear Technician Availability to travel to production sites in Italy Good knowledge of Footwear factories machineries Good knowledge both spoken and written of English Job Responsibilities: Work together with the product development team and selected factories to analyze and industrialize the products, ensuring the production feasibility from prototypes to samples stage and production release.

Support the shoe factories in the achievement of the good fitting and help to solve any technical issues that arise during the samples development to achieve the confirmation sample for production.

Optimize production processes by suggesting solutions to improve production efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.

Support the design and development team in the development of new constructions (new heels, wedges, rubber molds, etc).

Work with the footwear PM and the designated factories to ensure the industrialization of production within the required calendar.

Meet with production regularly and provide weekly recaps flagging any callouts related to industrialization or production.

Responsible for technical approval of PPS, compiling any final comments, and advising when more confirmation samples or TOPs are required.

Participate in handoff to Quality Control to ensure a clear understanding of the product and standards, and provide recommendations for in-line inspection points where needed.

Assist with resolving any technical issues that occur during development and production.

Freelance role location in the Veneto region, Italy.
