Force Health Protection Assessment Analyst
Responsibilities**:
Peraton is currently seeking a talented
**Force Health Protection Assessment Analyst** to become part of Peraton's U. S. Army Africa Mission Support program, which works to serve and protect U. S. Army forces operating and training in Africa.
**Location**: This position will be located in Vicenza, Italy.
The Force Health Protection Assessment Analyst provides global health engagement planning support to the SETAF-AF Operational Protection Directorate for a variety of supported exercises, including Medical Readiness Exercises (MEDREX) and other Health Service Support (HSS) planning requirements.
In this role, you will support the global health engagement planning process for a Department of Defense agency serving and protecting US Army personnel operating in austere and challenging locations.
**What you'll do**:
The Force Health Protection Assessment Analyst will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:
- Provide expertise and advice on medical impacts (threat / risk assessments) for exercises, missions and / or deployed forces.
- Provide support and counsel in the review, analysis and planning process within the Operational Protection Directorate.
- Coordinate with SETAF-AF Surgeon's Office, US Embassy's, AFRICOM and other agencies to provide assessments and reports on African Host Nation medical facilities and Environmental Health Safety (EHS).
- Participate in Operational Protection Directorate and Surgeon's Office Working Groups and provide input to the planning and execution of Health and Human Services (HHS), Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), and other programs and exercises.
- Provide expertise, advice, and support in evaluating host nation Medical Programs in the SETAF-AF AOR.
- Participate in site specific planning events (25% travel) across the continent of Africa and coordinate with US embassies in regard to medical capabilities at United Nations (UN) Mission locations in support of deployed United States Military Observer Group (USMOG) personnel.
- Assist with the inspection/reporting process for Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) for African institutions and provide EHS input to assist with mission assurance assessments and United States Military Observer Group (USMOG) threat vulnerability assessments.
- Prepare presentations, reports and briefings for leadership on the progress and status of the medical exercise programs.
Qualifications:
**Basic Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant U. S. Army experience; or High School diploma and 12 years of U. S. Army experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Recent experience with U. S. Army global health engagements planning.
- Must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance.
- Ability to travel.
This position requires 25% travel.
- Must be able to maintain U. S. Army medical/health clearance for travel to the continent of Africa.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- 16 years of experience in U. S. Army global health operations and planning.
- Top Secret Security Clearance.
- Former US Army Senior NCO (SFC - SGM), Senior Warrant Officer (CW3-CW5), or US Army Officer (CPT-LTC).
- Experience with the Joint Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System (JCCQAS).
- BS degree in Nursing, Occupational Safety and Health or related degree.
- Knowledge of AR 40-68.

Target Salary Range: $66, 000 - $106, 000.
This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
