McIntosh Box and Pallet is hiring for a 1st Forklift Operator in Rome, NY! We are looking for a technically skilled and experienced individual with excellent attention to detail to join our team in Rome, NY as a Forklift Operator.

Pay: $18 per hour A Forklift Operator will be responsible for moving material by operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. The goal will be to ensure that material and products are always at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency. This individual will be responsible, hardworking, and a team player!

Forklift Operator's Job Responsibilities: Load and unload trailers and place materials in proper locations Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs Transport materials to different locations within the facility Secure loads to the machine before transportation Inspect for damages to vehicles Operate and manage technical equipment Adhere to production schedules Exchange propane tanks on the back of the lift when it is out of gasoline Restack lumber when piles are knocked over or need adjustments Assist team members in the yard and on the floor as needed Adhere to safety management standards and identify workplace hazards Comply with company policies and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and orderly environment Special projects as assigned Benefits: 401 (k) 401 (k) Matching Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance Employee Assistance Program Health Savings Account Life Insurance Paid Time Off Apply Today!

Requirements Forklift experience preferred Mathematical aptitude Good organizational skills Good written and verbal communication Strong work ethic Reliable High degree of attention to detail required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner Maintain a clean and safe environment Physical Requirements: Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time Having a good sense of balance Having good eye-hand-foot coordination Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season #J-18808-Ljbffr
