Phoenix Security is looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join an exciting project on application security.
Company Brief: Phoenix Security is a cybersecurity start-up working on an exciting new product and looking for a Backend Developer to join our team.
You will be working on Phoenix Security, which is disrupting the world of vulnerability management, application security, and cloud security.
We are looking for a candidate who wants to work dynamically and flexibly, can self-manage, and is comfortable working in a start-up environment.
Phoenix Security helps CIO / CTO / CISO and developers communicate effectively regarding vulnerability management.
The Phoenix Security platform enables a clear view of vulnerabilities and contextualization of those within applications, with enriched information like the cost of the application and risk about the importance level of the application.

The ideal candidate would have experience and knowledge of building APIs and services using Kotlin and Spring Boot.
You will work with the broader team of developers to implement functional changes and improvements to our platform.
Ultimately, you'll create functional and appealing features that address our clients' needs and help us grow our customer base.
Tech Stack: Kotlin (at least 3 years) Spring Boot / Java experience (at least 3 years) Container deployment (Docker) AWS deployments (ECS, EKS) Secondary: PostgreSQL, GCP, Rust Responsibilities: Work independently on defined requirements and stories Collaborate with the team to improve the implementation velocity and effectiveness Propose functional and technical alternatives and options pertinent to the work at hand Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders Identify and troubleshoot technical problems Collaborate in architectural discussions and decisions Requirements: Demonstrable experience in core technologies for at least 3 years Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills Approachable Portfolio of implemented projects Familiar with API design Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders Excellent time-management skills BSc in Computer Science or relevant field – or equivalent qualification / experience Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, GitHub Projects #J-18808-Ljbffr
