We are looking for a Fracture Control EngineerCANDIDATES THAT WOULD IMPRESS USPROFILE:You graduated with a Master of Engineering, Computer Science or any other relevant field in UniversityYou have significant experience in hardware development and more specifically in mechanical engineeringYou want to focus in the mechanical field, implement it in a solution, and capture associated trends and concernsYou are a true team-player and love to work within a multidisciplinary environmentYou are clear about the organisation goals and the strategies you are working for, demonstrating an actual customer-oriented mindsetYou are very rigorous and analytical, logically examining the steps taken and the outcome to make corrections and produce better resultsCOMPETENCIES:You have a strong technical background in mathematics, science, and computer science, with a great knowledge of mechanical laws, norms and standardsYou master Mechanical technology and are proficient with several related tools, methods and processes:Mechanical design:DS Catia, DS Solidworks, DS Smarteam, PTC Creo, PTC PDMLink, Siemens NX, Autodesk AutocadCAD Model, Drawings, Bill of Materials, Data ManagementMechanical simulation:Ansys Mechanical, DS Abaqus, DS Dymola, MSC NastranStructural analysis (static, modal analysis, shocks, vibrations), Mechanical tests correlation, Design optimization, Strength analysisMechanical tests:Shocks and vibration tests, Qualification procedureYou have great problem-solving and decision-making skills, which makes you able to approach complex issues with curiosity and determinationYou have the ability to multitask so you can handle several projects simultaneously and still meet the deadlinesLIFE AS A THALES MECHANICAL ENGINEERING ROLEAs a Mechanical Engineering Role within Thales, you will:Perform a subset of all the hardware engineering activities applicable to Mechanical EngineeringAnalyse the mechanical needs whatever the used means (e. g.
advanced studies, simulations, mock-ups, models, prototypes)Describe the mechanical functions, requirements and development planElaborate the data package to be transferred to productionWork collaboratively with production and procurement to produce cost effective, easy to manufacture mechanical design solutionsMonitor, plan and organise mechanical activities to measure and report on the technical progressPropose and justify technical, technological and methodological choices in accordance with the approved mechanical architecture and designMonitor compliance of designs against target costs and lead timeYOUR CAREER AT THALESFuture opportunities will allow you to discover other domains or sites.
