The **Air Freight Supervisor** is responsible for coordinating the day to day operations of UPS Freight Service Centers.

**DUTIES**:

He or she analyzes operational data to understand productivity, service, and quality targets; carries out action plans and improve service level results; conducts meetings with the operations team to review performance, reinforce safety and quality expectations;

**He or she promotes and maintains customer relationships**:

- works with operations teams to maximize daily productivity

- provides assistance to resolve customer issues and ensure long-term business growth;

- facilitates training to educate the team on job requirements and responsibilities;

- communicates service updates, procedural changes, and corporate announcements to prepare employees in supporting customer needs;

- maintains internal and external relationships to improve service experiences;

- identifies customer needs and builds cross-functional relationships to identify solutions.

**Coordinates and monitors freight operations**:

- provides performance reports to managers to assist in service times improvement;

- manages relationships with internal groups to facilitate and coordinate freight movement activities;

- reviews and audits service failures to ensure prompt resolution to issues;

- monitors and reviews customer requests to ensure compliance with operational procedures;

- collaborates with operations teams to evaluate financial impacts of proposed solutions.

**Supervises and develops**:

- determines employees' training needs to produce continuous development plans;

- provides on-going feedback and support to improve performance;

- conducts performance evaluations in a consistent, fair, and objective manner to encourage continuous performance improvement;

- holds others accountable to established performance levels to achieve individual and group goals;

- resolves individual and group performance issues in accordance with UPS's policies and procedures in a timely manner to motivate and foster

- teamwork.

**Promotes health and safety Compliance**:

- promotes health and safety compliance to achieve established safety goals;

- monitors employee training and certification to reduce accidents and injuries;

- reviews audit reports to ensure compliance with UPS, local, state, and federal guidelines (e. g. , hazardous materials, security, etc.

).

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- University or same level education

- Fluent English

- Significant experience in the freight forwarding industry
