Front Desk Manager - Splendido Mare a Belmond Hotel Portofino Splendido Mare, A Belmond Hotel, part of the LVMH Group, is a charming guesthouse in the heart of Portofino. Its celebrated restaurant, DaV Mare, embodies all the pleasures of piazzetta living through refined cuisine, curated in partnership with the 3-Michelin-star Cerea family. We are looking for a Front Desk Manager to join our Front Office team.
The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality and comfortable with challenges. He/She is willing to provide authentic and luxury experiences, demonstrating care, confidence, curiosity, and community.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Greeting guests and ensuring that they receive an efficient and friendly check-in and check-out.
Rooming our guests.
Answering enquiries and providing information about the hotel and local area to guests.
Organising special requests and communicating with all departments within the hotel to ensure that our guests receive the highest standard of service.
Implementing the Leading Quality Assurance Standards.
Supporting, training, and supervising front office staff.
Maintaining working relationships and communicating with all departments.
Allocating guest rooms according to reservation requests and guest needs.
Verifying that accurate room status information is maintained and properly communicated.
Resolving guest problems quickly, efficiently, and courteously.
Conducting regularly scheduled meetings with the front office team.
Maximising room revenue and occupancy by reviewing status daily.
Ensuring implementation of all hotel policies and house rules.
Operating all aspects of Front Office computer systems.
Ensuring timely and professional responses to all messages and emails.
Monitoring all V. I. P. s special guests and requests.
Reviewing daily front office work and activity reports generated by Night Audit.
Reviewing Front Office log book and guest feedback on a daily basis.
Maintaining an organised and comprehensive filing system with all documentation.
Performing Duty Manager duties and other duties requested by management.
Requirements:
At least 5 years of previous professional experience, preferably at an international level in the same role.
Fluent in English and Italian; a third language is required.
Knowledge of Hotel Management software.
Knowledge of the Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).

Belmond and you:
We offer a seasonal Labour contract according to C. C. N. L. Settore Turismo - Level 2, Front Office Manager.
Start date: November 2024 with the aim of a continuous collaboration over subsequent seasons at Splendido Mare and a career path.
Salary as per CCNL + increase based on seniority and skill level, separate payslip for 13°, 14° and TFR.
Accommodation in our staff house including breakfast, staff cantine.
Bus ticket as a benefit for the contract period.
