FSO System Engineer – Join an Innovative R&D Team Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for cutting-edge optical communication technologies?

We are currently recruiting for a talented Free-Space Optics (FSO) System Engineer to join a forward-thinking R&D team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-speed, long-range communication systems for both terrestrial and satellite applications.

As part of this team, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and testing advanced FSO systems, contributing to the future of optical communication technology.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, simulation, and optimisation of FSO communication systems for high performance and reliability.

Conduct system-level trade-off analyses, optimising parameters such as link budget, aperture size, and error correction.

Drive research into new FSO technologies, materials, and methods to enhance system efficiency, data throughput, and signal quality.

Develop system models and perform simulations using tools like VPI Photonics.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, integrating FSO solutions into larger communication systems.

Develop and execute test plans for both lab and field trials to validate system performance and troubleshoot issues.

Stay current with the latest developments in optical communication technologies.

Contribute to technical papers, patents, and academic publications.

Required Qualifications: Master's degree or Ph.

D. in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, or related field.

Proven experience in designing and analysing FSO or optical communication systems.

Proficiency with system modelling and simulation tools (e. g. , VPI Photonics).

Strong knowledge of optical components (lasers, detectors, modulators) and system techniques.

Experience with link budget analysis, optical alignment, and signal processing.

Understanding of environmental factors affecting FSO systems (weather, turbulence, etc. ).
