Summary Description: System Safety (or Functional Safety) Manager, Freelance, Italy, 6 months initial contract, 60% onsite.

Contract Type: Contract/Per/Fixed Term - freelance, 6 month initial.

Start Date: ASAP.

Salary: Hourly all-inclusive rate in Euros.

Location/Language: North Italy, English language required; German or Italian are beneficial but not mission critical.

Requirements Description: A safety expert responsible for the safety-related development of the entire system as an OEM, as well as driving the development of specific functionalities at the assembly and component level.

Tasks Description: Management & realization of safety-related functions at the system and/or assembly and component level. Application & analysis according to applicable standards (e. g.

MIL-STD-882E and/or ISO 26262 or alternatively IEC 61508). Deriving safety requirements and allocation to stakeholders (m/f/d). Moderation of workshops with specialist teams. Interdisciplinary collaboration with various specialist departments. Documentation of work results including presentation internally & in external customer contact. Essential Skills/Experience Description: Degree in a technical or scientific subject with an analytical bent (e. g.

electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics, chemistry or a comparable field). Relevant professional experience in the required field of activity (e. g.

as a functional safety manager in the automotive industry). In-depth knowledge of V-model development required. Knowledge of development tools desirable (e. g.

DOORS, PDM, ALM). Experience in moderating teams/working groups. Good written and spoken English. Strong team player. Willingness to occasionally travel for work.
