We are currently seeking a Firmware Engineer to join our dynamic team in Castel Guelfo, Italy! This position is responsible for designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting firmware code (IC embedded code), contributing to code reviews and team performance improvement. The role includes reading and understanding diagrams of hardware and embedded systems, defining tests to validate firmware design, and writing proper documentation. You will motivate team members and guarantee the correct flow of information to avoid misunderstandings and lack of clarity. Additionally, you will provide technical support when required by customers and analyze specific applications providing active support and service.

What kind of work will you be doing? Work with the Firmware team to design, analyze, and troubleshoot software for allocated functions, understanding the working principles of hardware. Provide firmware test specifications and support during the product lifecycle. Collaborate with the tech-support team to solve field problems. Cooperate with other engineering functions during the definition of product specifications. Support the testing team in defining the test plan and reviewing test results. Produce technical documentation in line with process requirements such as drawings and component specifications. What will make you successful? Excellent planning and communication skills. Good knowledge of C/C++, version control systems, and DSP architecture, preferably TI oriented. University degree or technical diploma in Software Engineering or equivalent. Experience in equivalent areas (e. g. , UPS, Power converter, or low voltage electrical distribution) is a plus. Good knowledge of PLM (Product Life Cycle Management) and processes. Strong team working attitude and communication skills. Customer-oriented with availability to travel. Good English language proficiency.
