Job Description Summary**: At Avio Aero, a GE Aviation Business unit, we've been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years.

We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.

As part of the GCAP Engineering team the GCAP Cooled Components HW Owner will lead in an integrated way component design activities, technology maturation plans and hardware procurement meeting program requirements and demonstration schedule.

You will be the connection and interface among Engineering, Supply Chain and Systems team.

**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Provide ownership for GCAP Cooled Components executing the design, analysis and concurrence with Global Supply Chain of assigned hardware using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements

- Support the definition of overall program plans into requirements and milestones for the design and procurement of assigned hardware.

- Serves as design team representative for Tollgate and Technical reviews for assigned hardware

- Work with a variety of engineering organizations and contribute to the development of the engine systems and designs.

- Be responsible for monitoring and communicating project status to Engineering leadership.

Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments.

- Participate as a presenter in technical and program reviews

- Issue the technical documents relative to the components design according to engineering and program policies and procedures

- Support source technological substantiation and non-conformances assessments

**Qualifications/Requirements

- Master Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited university

- Previous experience in design and analysis engineering position

- Robust knowledge of fundamental mechanical design concepts, mechanics of materials, design hand calculations

- Have strong engineering outlook, hands-on engineering foundation and eager to learn

- Clear thinking and diligent approach

- English and Italian language knowledge, both written and oral.

- Good interpersonal and communication skills

- Work Visa and Italian citizenship, in accordance with local regulation, is required
