The Role

Herzum

is seeking an experienced

Technical Project Manager

with expertise in

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving critical cloud migration projects for a leading company in the financial sector.

Location

: onsite in

Rome

2-3 times a week initially, with the possibility of more flexible remote work arrangements after a few weeks.

Key Responsibilities

:

Lead the migration of current infrastructure to Google Cloud

, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

Manage the migration of databases from DB2 to PostgreSQL

, involving data transfer, system integration, and application compatibility adjustments.

Oversee the project aimed at decommissioning non-core functionalities

, enhancing system efficiency and performance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to

design and implement robust cloud solutions

that align with business objectives.

Ensure that all projects are delivered

on time

,

within scope

, and

within budget

.

Monitor project progress continuously

and make adjustments as needed.

Report regularly to senior management on

project status

risks

mitigation strategies

.

What We Expect From You

:

Proven experience as a

Project Manager

in

IT infrastructure

and

cloud migration projects

, specifically with

Google Cloud Platform

.

Strong technical background

with a

deep understanding of database technologies

, including

DB2

and

PostgreSQL

.

Experience in managing

AS400 systems

and familiarity with decommissioning processes.

Excellent

problem-solving skills

and the ability to manage

multiple tasks simultaneously

.

Strong

interpersonal

and

communication skills

, capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams.

Language

: business proficient level in

English

and native fluency in

Italian

are mandatory.
