General Ledger Accountant
SUMMARY OF ROLE:
Contributes to the Financial Reporting process for the Emerson Italy sites (Statutory Accounts under ITA GAAP) and Compliance with indirect Taxes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contributes to timely and accurate financial reporting: Ensure preparation and filing of annual Italian statutory accounts with local authorities.
Handles Journal Entries, Reconciliations of the accounts - Interactions with Finance Shared Service (GFS) on locally managed matters that have an impact on the monthly close of the US accounts (i. e.
Tax).
- Manage compliance of Indirect Taxes (VAT, property tax, waste disposal, other taxes) and Withholding (770 withholding tax return).
- Contributes to ad hoc projects to meet Emerson requirements and business needs - Cooperate closely with Compliance function, Internal and External Auditors to ensure successful Audits

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- University Degree in Business Administration or Finance;
- At least 3 years experience in a Finance/ Accounting /Audit role in multinational contest;
- Good knowledge ITA GAAP (US GAAP is a Plus);
- Fluent in English;
- Strong PC skills including Excel.
SAP and Hyperion user knowledge a plus;
