*Group/Division Summary:

*The General Manager develops and carries out global business strategy, technology strategy and product road maps for the life cycle of current and new products for all addressable markets.

In this position, you will lead all aspects of the AgriGenomics & Animal Health portfolios and work across key customers/KOLs to deliver solutions that meet their needs.

This includes leveraging scale across other business groups to include programs like Data Science and the Platform for Science for sustained growth.

This position will be based, preferably, in Austin, TX, but may also be located in either Carlsbad, CA or South San Francisco, CA.

*Key Responsibilities:

**Work closely with the commercial team to defend, migrate and grow high margin, high market share business (commercial teams have dotted line reporting to this role).

- Drive success through innovation, growth and product quality in the core and testing markets for Agrigenomics and Animal Health.

- Use a strong intuition for business with demonstrated ability to understand, analyze and assimilate sophisticated issues, draw correct conclusions, prioritize and formulate clear strategy and initiatives* Build a great team and great culture by attracting, engaging, developingand retaining top talent at all levels.

- Inspire, influence, and empower employees across the matrix (both direct and indirect teams globally) to overachieve objectives.

*Qualifications:

**Bachelor's degree required preferably in sciences, businesses, economics or another related field.

MBA, similar experience, or related advanced degree, desired.

* Industry experience in Life Sciences or clinical chemistry, preferably in animal health, veterinary or food safety or similar areas.

* Experience selling capital equipment and consumables through a variety of channels is desired.

* Leadership accountability with experience developing, building and leading successful global strategic teams through obstacles and getting optimal return from market opportunities.

- Track record of delivering results in product management, marketing and R&D by defining and prioritizing a product development pipeline with a keen sense of user-centered innovation.

* Success working in a global matrixed environment.

* Strong customer/quality orientation with demonstrated ability to optimally build and manage customer and partner relationships at a senior level* Consistent track record of effectively driving organizational transformation through large scale change initiatives from a business and cultural standpoint* Strong presence with a capacity to influence and promote passion and support through verbal, written and presentation communications skills* Demonstrates courage!
