** JOB DESCRIPTION: The Field Generator Technician will repair and perform routine and preventative maintenance on back-up power systems for telecommunication companies, local businesses, and emergency service personnel.

SALARY: Salary is $25 per hour or commensurate with experience.

Able to perform generator troubleshooting and diagnostics.

Maintains knowledge of updated changes in various models of equipment.

Evaluates and recommends any required repairs.

Excellent customer skills.

Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have 2 year(s) previous experience.

Must be at least 25 years old.

Must have G. E. D.

or High School Diploma.

Possess basic electrical knowledge.

Must have mechanical background.

Generator mechanics a plus!

REQUIREMENTS KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA'S): Possess a working knowledge of the above-titled position and how it relates to the overall business and its objectives.

Must conform to company policies and procedures and meet company goals and objectives as well as protect the company assets and interests.

Must have a current driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Must be able to pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing requirements.

Must be computer literate, a Windows-based environment preferred (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook).

Must be dependable and able to work independently.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds and able to bend and twist several times a day.

Must have the ability to work flexible hours, days, travel, and stay overnight.

Ability to maintain a professional appearance, promote and maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment.

Possess troubleshooting skills and have the ability to effectively operate basic shop equipment.

DOT Medical Card required.
