WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR DAY-TO-DAY? • Definition of Data Curation Processes:o Curate relevant datasets for the Encyclopaedia Cloacae and integrate AI and complementary tool outputs into its databaseo Validate and clean data to ensure accuracy and consistency before entry• Preparation of Annotation and Metadata Standards:o Annotate datasets with relevant metadata to enhance usability and searchability within the Encyclopaedia Cloacaeo Develop ontologies and controlled vocabularies to standardize the annotation process• Development and Maintenance of Training and Documentation:o Develop training materials and documentation for users on utilizing AI-generated resources in wastewater surveillance for public healtho Create guidelines for contributors on adding and maintaining AI-generated content • Management of Data Analysis and Interpretation:o Process and analyze high-throughput biological data, such as genomic or metagenomic sequences from wastewater sampleso Interpret bioinformatics findings in the context of public health and pathogen surveillance• Coordination and Review of Collaboration with Software Developers:o Engage with software development teams to ensure seamless data entry and integration with existing systems, such as the EU Wastewater Observatory's databases and the DEEPo Provide bioinformatics expertise to assist developers in creating user-friendly interfaces for data submission and retrieval• Reporting of Administrative Communication Management:o Handle administrative tasks such as sorting and responding to emails, managing correspondence related to the project, and coordinating communications within the consortiumo Organize and maintain digital records of project-related communications and data • Assistance with Support for GLOWACON:o Contribute bioinformatics support to the Global Consortium for Wastewater Surveillance for Public Health, assisting with data analysis and the dissemination of findingso Participate in GLOWACON initiatives to develop standardized methods and best practices for wastewater-based epidemiology• Interaction with Stakeholders:o Collaborate with business analysts, customers, users, project leaders, and developers to ensure successful project execution and alignment with objectivesWHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU? At least 4 years of specific expertise in coding in cloud computing platform and in unix/linux environmentAt least 2 years of specific expertise in scientific analysis of spatial dataAt least 2 years of specific expertise in analysis of climate and remote sensing dataGood Knowledge in analyzing scientific data, particularly in bioinformatics and genomics. Good Knowledge in various bioinformatics tools and methodologies, including semantic search engines and ontology development. At least 2 years of specific expertise in scientific analysis of spatial data. Strong background in conducting research and developing innovative solutions, particularly within the life sciences and digital health domains. Experience in authoring scientific papers and reports for peer-reviewed journals. Very good background knowledge in computer life sciences, pharmacy and environmental microbiologyVery good knowledge of programming in large computing framework (e. g.
