**ROLE DESCRIPTION
The primary purpose of the Global Account Director (GAD) is to lead strategic customer engagement with a differentiated customer experience, grow SAP share of wallet through business development focused on co-innovation programs, big rocks, and value creation and drive industry-focused innovation and purpose-led initiatives that increase SAP's relevance.
The GAD will work on protecting the revenue base and growing overall customer revenues across on premise & cloud solutions and services.
The GAD must build strong long term relationships, increase customer NPS over time and secure strategic references for SAP.
**EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
- Orchestrates and leads the execution of the account strategy, incorporating Software, Cloud, Services, Support/Maintenance, Partners and Channels.
- Creation and execution of digital transformation, 3-5 year road mapping.
- Completes long-term business strategy planning and creates the SAP-enabling innovation agenda with the customer.
- Develops long term C-level relationships, creates and manages a strong joint SAP-customer governance model, and ensures that the SAP's assigned executive sponsor is appropriately engaged.
- Leads integrated account planning and ensures that SAP's footprint is expanded with involvement of all relevant Line of Business and strategic engagement with Partners.
- Influences and leads a virtual team of resources from various LoBs, functions and geographies
- Drives revenue growth across all SAP Line of Business throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Provides leadership around solution adoption and value realization.
**WORK EXPERIENCE
- Senior account management and deep knowledge of the postal service, insurance or telco industries is a must.
- 15+ years of experience in sales of complex business software / IT solutions.
- Experience in lead role of a team selling environment.
- Partner and 3rd party engagement.
**EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Demonstrated success with large transactions and lengthy sales campaigns in a fast-paced, consultative and competitive market.
- Exceptional contractual and negotiation skills.
- Quality and Customer Focus.
- Managing Virtual Account Teams.
- Strong Communication skills, with ability to influence and build relationships.
- Italian Language: Native
- Business level English: Fluent
- Bachelor equivalent: yes
**LOCATION**: The position can be covered both in Rome and Vimercate (Milan area).
