This position reports to Global Industry Segment ManagerYour role and responsibilities In Electrification Business - Smart Power Division, we are looking for a Global Application Specialist to scout emerging technologies and pilot novel applications and segments with the aim to identify long-term and viable business opportunities for ELSP. In this role you will be team member of Agile Team AT Innovate: Emerging Technologies Applications & Segments within Agile Unit AU Innovation & Common Modules. The work model for the role is hybrid. This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power(ELSP) Innovation & Product Platform in Europe. You will be mainly accountable for: • Defining the vision of electrification solutions with a timeframe of three to eight years according to division strategy and customer future needs • Investigating global macrotrends about emerging technologies, applications, and segments to provide strategic recommendations to the ELSP leadership team • Driving innovation strategy and roadmap following trajectories of focus technologies, applications, and segments • Fostering the ELSP ecosystem of key partners and customers to support ELSP innovation initiatives through collaboration • Piloting emerging novel applications and segments through contributions in partner/customer-specific concept solutions • Developing technologies up to TRL3 or lessQualifications for the role Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, preferably electric. PHD in engineering is a plus +5 years working experience in electrical field is preferred Proven stakeholders management ability, preferably in a multicultural environment Agile mindset and experience in an agile working context is a plus Knowledgeable about electrical applications in emerging fields like microgrids, data centers Excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, leadership skills, social skills complete the profile Proficiency in written and spoken English More about us We value people from different backgrounds.
