Job Description: Global Insurance & Claims Support Role Overview: Savino Del Bene seeks a dynamic and detail-oriented Global Insurance & Claims Support to join its Global Headquarters in Florence, Italy.
This role is critical in managing insurance claims and complaints , working closely with brokers and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient claims processing and risk mitigation.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in global insurance operations , ensuring the company's risk management strategies align with business objectives.
The support will analyze and resolve insurance claims, maintain accurate claims records, and oversee reporting and statistics to support data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities: Claims Management: Handle a portfolio of complex, high-exposure claims, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Claims Investigation & Resolution: Assess and resolve cargo legal liability claims and other types of claims by reviewing coverage, liability, and key documents (contracts, policies, appraisals, releases, statements, reports, etc. ).
Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, brokers, legal advisors, and insurance carriers to negotiate claims and ensure optimal outcomes.
Data & System Management: Maintain an accurate and structured claims database , ensuring proper documentation, deadline tracking, and monitoring of open cases.
Advisory & Support: Assist business partners and operational teams in claims management , supporting customers throughout the claims process and addressing any related complaints.
Reporting & Risk Analysis: Provide regular reports on high-risk, large-value claims to leadership and key stakeholders, offering insights for risk management and strategic decision-making.
Qualifications & Skills: Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in Law, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field.
Languages: Fluency in Italian and English.
French would be a strong plus.
Experience: Minimum 3+ years in corporate insurance, legal, risk management, or loss prevention roles.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Freight Incoterms, insurance policies, claims handling, and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Experience with insurance management systems is a plus.
Interpersonal & Analytical Skills: Proven ability to manage broker relationships and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
Analytical mindset with expertise in risk assessment, data analysis, and reporting.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
