Diversity - Collaboration = Great Innovation Do you thrive at managing complexity, seeing the possibilities in challenges, and are ready for a fast-moving role on a high-growth team As Operations Leader you will drive operations for the Grid Edge Solutions business across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality & Operational Excellence, Value Chain Planning and Project Controls and Processes in collaboration with the regional Operating Units (OUs).

Ensuring strict adherence of operations to the policies and required standards of health, safety and integrity, is also critical.

Your responsibilities Responsible for developing business action plans for the GPG aligned with Division/Business Unit strategy and targets.

Monitors implementation and tracks any deviations for corrective action in all the supply units within the GPG.

Prepares annual budget, oversees progress, and determines actions to cost issues as necessary in order to manage operations within the budget and resources.

Develops programs, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the organization to the highest level of operational performance while optimizing working capital throughout Operations.

Ensures that the organization take an overall value chain perspective to meet customer expectations on quality, service levels and lead time and has a full understanding and culture of continuous improvement behaviors, methodology and processes.

Introduce joint, GPG-wide resource planning, sharing and pooling taking full advantage of the cost footprint in the GPG.

Leads implementation of daily project execution including implementation of the strategy and continuous improvements across the GPG, including:

Project portfolio:

Ensures that the regional/ local portfolio of projects is managed consistently, based on best practices and Hitachi Energy (HE) Policies.

Project execution and control:

Supervises project execution and performance management through project reviews with management and Project Managers to ensure contract fulfilment and approves any project deviations.

Takes an active role in resolving escalated issues, especially those rby the customer.

Ensures the portfolio of projects follows good methodology and execution practices in accordance with internal standard procedures, and projects are closed as per contracts entered with customers.

Instructions and guidelines:

Oversees the OU ensuring that Hitachi Energy Policies are consistently followed.

Develops, customizes and continuously improves standard processes and work instructions by adopting HE and external best practices.

Ensures that lessons learned from project execution are analyzed andconclusions are incorporated in continuous improvement actions.

Contract and claims:

Stakeholder relations:

Builds and maintains relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Serves as an escalation point for individual and systemic project management issues within the global organization

Provides guidance and support to Operation Units to improve understanding of customer requirements in order to identify both potential constraints and solutions to these requirements from an operational point of view.

Ensures that the area of responsibility is structured to fit the business model, is sufficiently staffed with skilled resources and directed appropriately.

Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect reports within HR policies.

Builds growing team of direct reports and as such, sets expectations and defines roles for global recruiting activities in his/her area of stewardship.

Oversees competency assessments and ensures that project staff is licensed and certified appropriately.

Leads and coaches the project execution team to achieve business objectives, i. e.

to drive efficiency and effectiveness, improve cash flow, revenue and profitability.

Your background Engineering degree

At least 15 years of experience in engineering, production and/or operations

Strong Technical and Management background

Customer oriented, pragmatic approach

Problem solving, open minded, resolute, open to discussion

Team work, Leadership, negotiation skills,

English language (fluent)

Experience in energy sector is a plus
