Global Product Manager

The mission of the Industrial Automation group at Molex is to drive and support the evolving needs of our global customers and partners in the (r)evolution of technology and platforms to support Industry 4. 0. Our products are used in diverse market sectors including robotics, plant automation and process control providing users with a simple and scalable solution to configure, manage and monitor their automation needs. What You Will Do Develops and implements strategic products in collaboration with engineering and annual business plans targeting markets, industries, and customers within Europe and North America. Develops new market opportunities in collaboration with Sales team. Identifies product line trends and new technologies in global market. Leads long range product planning. Increases sales and market share of the product line in support of Divisional objectives. Tracks progress to plan for revenue, profit, and backlog. Reviews and approves special price requests, maintains price bands and price lists for Europe and North America, and develops pricing strategies for new and existing products. Manages new development activity within Europe and North America associated with extending and growing the life of assigned product line. Develops product promotion and commercialization plans including sales tools, literature, distribution, stocking, training, and sampling. Supports Molex TQM program by following approved policies and procedures. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) 3 years product marketing, business development or sales experience in related cable industry. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Understanding of low voltage cables and related applications. 3 years product marketing experience in cables industry. SAP Experience. Master's Degree is considered a plus. Language skills: proficient in English. Italian or German are a plus. What Will Put You Ahead Technical knowledge related to cables designing and materials/components used. Understanding of the industrial automation applications and different market opportunities to develop. Organizational skills to anticipate, plan, prioritize and self-monitor workload. Effective written and oral communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express ideas, exchange information clearly and concisely, and deliver concise and effective presentations to customers and Molex personnel. Interpersonal skills to effectively work with co-workers and external contacts to respond positively to situations. Must be self-motivated and goal oriented. The candidate must be proactive rather than reactive and must be able to demonstrate personal initiative. Availability to travel to customers and Molex sites as needed.
