We would love to hear from you!Responsibilities:Working with the product environmental compliance team to integrate regulatory considerations into sustainable product design strategy and guidelines. Supporting product development teams in implementing technical measures to reduce emissions and drive product circularity. Driving projects that can serve as standard process examples. Continuing to improve and enhance Emerson's sustainable new product design guidelines. Keeping abreast of external sustainable design trends and actively participating in external industry forums. Facilitating and driving collaborations with external partners such as universities for relevant research and innovation projects. Leading and expanding Emerson's global product carbon footprint by supervising the activities of the central team conducting analyses. Providing technical expertise to teams within the business and collaborating with them in research and specific projects during execution. Continuing to improve internal methodologies and external communication collateral in alignment with external best practices and regulatory requirements. Streamlining the process to minimize the duration of projects, while ensuring a high-quality deliverable. Driving the adoption of product carbon footprint analyses across Emerson's major product lines globally. Developing external resource relationships that may be valuable to Emerson's future product development activities. Collaborating with the Scope 3 reporting team to improve data quality and future forecasting, based on information collected and produced through individual product carbon footprints. Training and supporting the sales and marketing teams to ensure effective communication of results to external collaborators. Collaborating with the Responsible Sourcing team to improve primary data collection practices from suppliers to enhance precision and granularity, and to reduce Scope 3 upstream emissions through effective product design practices. Assisting in developing decarbonization scenario analyses and creating roadmaps for key material commodities. Engaging with supply chain teams to promote sustainable procurement and transportation strategies early in the product development stages. A critical thinker with a strong eye for detail, you can balance thinking and planning with actions. Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering, environmental science, physics, mathematics, materials science, or a similar field. Proven experience in product design or product management commensurate with the level of the position. Experience in a leadership or managerial role. Experience with Life Cycle Assessment methodologies and tools. Consistent record in the design and development of new products. Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead projects and deadlines simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications:5+ years of work experience in product design or product management. Ideally, your work experience would have been related to sustainable product design. Knowledge of current trends, standard processes, and regulations in this area. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, to influence and encourage global teams. Collaborative working style in a global and diverse team-oriented environment. Creativity and innovation in developing engagement strategies with teams around the world. Working experience in the industrial automation and technology sector or similar.
