Global Supply Chain Planner
Job Overview and Responsibilities The Global Supply Chain Planner role is responsible for worldwide planning, as well as, ensuring alignment between the Commercial, Finance, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to build an optimized supply plan that effectively meets the needs of the business.
The role supports the monthly S&OP process by developing a supply plan that optimizes inventory levels, manufacturing asset utilization and customer delivery service.
Locations:
Europe (France or Italy), United StatesKey ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Product Management to balance supply with demand near and long term.
Optimize internal capacity and evaluate external sourcing options. Inventory optimization - balancing financial impact to the company and customer service levelLead in the development of mid-range production and capacity plans.
Facilitate the development of the regular supply plan through monthly meetings/interactions with commercial and functional business leaders Create and lead communication of monthly supply plans to cross functional teams Ensure KPIs are in-line with business objectives/strategy and shared with the business in a regular, timely fashion, The Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are Inventory Days of Sales, Customer Delivery Service (OTIF), Production Asset Utilization & Forecast Accuracy. Coordinate supply-chain improvement initiatives aimed at alleviating demand/supply imbalances and improving overall End to End efficiency Education and Experience Bachelors or Masters degree in Supply ChainManagement, Operations Management, Chemical or Industrial EngineeringWorking in a Global manufacturing planning environmentAPICS CPIM Certification preferred8+ years of progressive experience in demand and supply planning in an environment of appropriate size, structure, complexity, and context.
Demonstrated experience working across multiple business units/locations, scaling operations of similar complexity and growth, and building talented teamsExperience with ERP systems roll-out and S&OP implementation experienceExperience integrating the demand and supply chain planning processes to robust ERP and planning tools SAP etc. )
Skills Expertise leading / supporting a cross-functional S&OP process; proficiency in developing supply plans from demand plans.
Demonstrated leadership skills with excellent communication (written, verbal, and presentation skills); identifying and developing high-potential team members to empower them for higher level decision making, idea generation, continuous improvementRoll-up-the sleeves leadership approach, comfortable dealing with ambiguity and a track record of success in a changing environment.
Ability to impact and influence changeExperience in forecasting, budgeting, strong quantitative and analytical skills; proven accountability and success in balancing optimal inventory turns, manufacturing asset utilization, and customer fulfillment rates. Strong scenario planning and organizing skills needed.
Strong customer care aptitude needed.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, SAP and warehouse or inventory management system required.
