**About the team**:
- Our Global Trade team is composed of experienced professionals dedicated to ensuring compliance and efficiency across trade lanes in collaboration with customs, regulatory affairs, and business units.
- As a Global Trade Regional Manager, you will focus on driving compliance excellence, building strategic partnerships, and optimizing trade operations within your assigned region.
This role allows you to contribute to Solvay's vision and strategic goals by implementing robust compliance frameworks and fostering a culture of operational excellence.
- You will be accountable for:
- Customs Compliance Management: Overseeing all customs-related activities within your region to ensure adherence to international trade regulations and internal policies.
- Operational Support and Governance: Managing day-to-day customs operations, from regulatory analysis to ensuring the efficiency of customs compliance checks and documentation of material release decisions.
- Strategic Partnership Development: Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to secure operational excellence and compliance while supporting the business's strategic objectives.
- Continuous Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing best practices across regions, including IT automation projects and benchmarking to standardize customs processes.
- Risk Management and Education: Proactively addressing compliance risks, training co-workers and stakeholders on trade regulations, and maintaining strong knowledge of regulatory changes.

**About you**:
- Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in economics, law, international trade, supply chain, or related fields.
A post-master's in Customs Law is an asset.
- Experience: 6+ years in Global Trade and customs operations, including supply chain, export/import, and transversal project coordination.
- Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication abilities in both English and French, written and oral.
- Proficiency in training delivery and project management is desirable.

**About the pay and benefits
- Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role.
While the Italian base pay reasonably expected for this role is 59320 € to 72900 € gross/year, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience.
Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
