The Government Relations and Public Policy team builds, maintains and improves relationships with key national and regional stakeholders across Europe, including Italy, adding value to society through impactful partnerships and projects on the ground.

The mission of the team is to earn trust and prevent, manage, and mitigate political, legislative, and regulatory threats to TikTok.

We are looking for a passionate, ambitious professional to join our team and work closely with our partner and stakeholders to help us build trust in Italy.

**In this role, you will**:

- Build and maintain relationships with government, policymakers and other stakeholders in Italy to represent TikTok's mission, values and principles.

- Work across TikTok with different teams to identify the policy relevance of their strategies and needs, taking action accordingly.

- Help TikTok think and act locally: provide strategic guidance to internal teams to help Tiktok put users first in Italy.

- Establish meaningful relationships and deliver innovative projects with local industry associations, partners, and NGOs.

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years experience working in public policy and government affairs.

- Keen understanding of the Italian political system, environment and institutions, as well as cultural landscape.

- Presence on the ground (Milan or Rome) and a very strong network with Italian policymakers and opinion leaders.

- Overwhelming passion for digital economy.

Previous experience in a startup or tech company is a plus.

- Self-starter attitude and willingness to deliver measurable impact.

Previous experience in project management is a plus.

- Fluency in English and Italian.
