Grid Delivery Manager EMEA, Infrastructure Energy TeamThis role is available in Madrid, Milan and Frankfurt The AWS Infrastructure Energy Team (IET) is looking for a Grid Delivery Manager to own the delivery of large scale critical HV/MV grid interconnection projects within EMEA under tight deadlines. If you like to leverage your technical understanding of critical substation projects including cables and overhead lines from design through energization phase, we'd like to meet you. Your work will help drive the grid infrastructure delivery program, standardize processes, develop tools for delivery executions, support financial budgeting, and act as the point of contact between AWS and electricity utilities.

Key job responsibilities: Communicate with senior and VP stakeholders to deliver complex projects across diverse teams to tight timelines. Provide weekly reporting on key project risks & issues at senior management, director, and vice president level. Drive the grid infrastructure delivery program. Standardize processes and develop tools for delivery executions. Support financial budgeting and act as the point of contact between AWS and electricity utilities. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Construction or related field. Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent. 8+ years of experience leading, influencing and partnering with multiple stakeholders to deliver high-voltage (HV) grid infrastructure projects (substations, overhead lines, underground cables) under tight deadlines. 5+ years of experience working with Utilities with a strong understanding of Utility grid interconnection requirements and Utility culture. Demonstrated understanding of HV/MV electrical safety standards & protocols. Professional communication skills in English and Italian or German. Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree (MBA/MS) preferred. Experience designing substations or other energy infrastructure. Experience working for utilities and with or for energy regulators. Experience with IT infrastructure, data centers and cloud services. Ability to converse in Spanish / French is advantageous. Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
