Grid Manager
The Grid Manager is responsible for the technical, regulatory and connection aspects of the PV and BESS projects.
This role covers from design through to construction, installation & commissioning of PV and BESS assets, and potentially onto operations & maintenance.
Experience in regulatory issues and connection processes in Italy is mandatory.
Main responsibilities: Management of grid connection procedure and coordination with stakeholders for potential area of collaboration until commercial operation.
Task includes management of DNO/TSO web portals and definition of anagraphic data into the different IT platforms such as myTerna, Gaudi', metering, enel.
Support and participate together with the other company functions in the technical review and approval of vendors and suppliers to ensure the best technical - economic rewards Analyse potential connection options, associated costs, potential impacts and associated risks, providing technical inputs.
Continuously monitor and implement mitigation measures to manage grid connection risks.
Work closely with the overall team including project managers, project engineers, and business development managers to develop and manage project design for multiple projects Monitor transmission regulatory regimes to address the challenges and opportunities it represents for the projects.
Explore and manage opportunities for synergies and coordination in terms of shared connection solutions with other promoters.
Participate in consultations and forums with government, regulators, TSOs and other stakeholders related to renewable energy projects Providing inputs to investment budgets and supporting documentation Providing inputs to project schedules and planning activities.
Analyse the Grid Code Compliance Requirements and development of the project documentation.
Support Procurement in establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers for the technology in his/her scope, as well as assisting with cost analysis and providing input regarding price levels of main equipment and installation.
Support Procurement in the running of tender processes for Grid connections, by assisting the delivery of technical materials, such as BOQs, layouts, design drawings and calculations for RFQs, as well as reviewing and evaluating tender responses.
Support the project managers during the management of the EPCs or constructors, in particular relating to the connection works.
Managing all the connection process with TSO / DSO (i. e.
request of STMD, support to sign the connection agreement, managing sharing connection agreements with other IPPs, registration of the projects on Gaudì, preparation of all the documentation for the management of the projects on the DSO / TSO portals etc. )
Required skills & experience: Degree in Electrical Engineering At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of the Italian energy industry, including a clear understanding of the key concepts, regulation and stakeholders Ability to communicate complex information to others in an accessible manner .
Systematic and detail-oriented approach to deliver high-quality solutions.
Excellent communication skills (internal and external stakeholders and partners, technical and non-technical) Fluent in English.
