As part of Minor Hotels, the region of Minor Hotels Europe & Americas is responsible for more than 350 properties in 30 countries and plans to grow across all segments, with a focus on its upper-upscale and luxury brands. Minor Hotels Europe & Americas is looking for a Booking Agent , responsible for managing group reservations in the Group & Events Management of Minor Hotels for Italy. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or equivalent. By reporting to the Manager, her/his main functions will be: Sell rooms and meeting spaces for M&E groups. Answer in a professional, efficient, friendly manner to communications from guests, travel agents, and referral networks. Maintain a positive selling approach to maximize yield. Resolve conflicts, making decisions/negotiating: listen to guests and actively look for ways to help them, choosing the best solution, handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts. The ideal candidate is proficient with standard office technologies, including the Office package. A very good command of English and Italian (spoken and written) is required. Other languages are appreciated. The following skills are required: flexibility, stress tolerance, attention to detail, negotiation, and creative thinking. This position will be based in Milan.
