The company has ambitious growth plans and is expanding its organization. Role DescriptionGrivel is seeking a proactive and passionate hardgoods product designer and developer to work in its RD department and move forward its tradition and heritage of over 200 years in the business.
You will work closely with all the RD team, the athletes, and the suppliers to develop world-class products within our core business: technical mountain equipment.
This hands-on role requires actively designing and developing products, managing samples, and testing to meet our expectations and standards. ResponsibilitiesDesign new products according to product briefs and inputsResearch and study materials and technologies to apply them properly on new projectsEnsure the respect of PPE standards and norms (where applicable) on new projectsManage and oversee the creation of samplesManage and oversee the field testing of new samplesFollow the projects from ideation to industrializationSkills QualificationsExcellent technical skills (mechanics, materials, technologies)Mastery of 3D drawingGood knowledge of 3D printingDeep understanding of the market and the productsCuriosity, excellent listening skills, assertiveness, creativity, independence, and strong organizational abilities. Ability to manage projects and follow planning and reportingA university degree in Engineering or a related technical field, demonstrating a solid educational foundation for the roleClimbing/mountaineering/skiing experience not mandatory but highly recommended. Knowledge of Italian language not mandatory but recommended. OtherPlace: the ideal candidate would be based in our headquarters in Verrayes (AO), Italy, with the possibility of some remote work.
