**About the Role**:

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and experienced **agronomist** for a position as **Agribusiness Deployment Specialist** in our Hazelnut Company Italy.

The position, reporting to the Iocal Agribusiness Deployment Manager, will serves as a field responsible for technical support and promotion in the northern Italy area, supporting all the external stakeholders with the new planted and/or existing hectares of hazelnut orchards.

**Main Tasks**:

Your key responsibilities in this role will be the following:

**Outgrowing Project

- Promote the outgrowing project in Northern region, to expand and promote hazelnut cultivation;

- Organize and manage congress, fairs, events focused on project promotion in accordance with farmer unions/aggregators and with involvements of PR/Communication department for external relationship;

- Assist and provide technical knowledge to the investors/farmers/aggregators/cooperatives that are implementing the outgrowing project;

- Provide the agronomical assistance from the plantation to the full growth and production of the plants;

- Manage local relationship with Institutional stakeholders that could be local government, research institute, public organization, farmer unions, etc.

- Develop weekly/monthly working plans and reports;

**Responsible Sourcing

- Manage and implement the strategy decided for responsible sourcing project;

- Project and manage all works concerning audits and field visit to stakeholders of existing hazelnut value chain;

- Is accountable to guarantee the full traceability of the products within the assigned Regions

**Production Forecasting

- Manage, implement and provide accountable information/data analytics of the production forecast;

**Quality Improvement

- Implement, in according to manager guidelines, projects with the aim of quality improvement within historical hazelnut region;

**Who we are looking for**:

**Profile

- Degree in Agronomy or agriculture related field;

- Be knowledgeable about current agronomic practices and government agricultural programs, traceability and sustainability practices, hazelnut quality specifications;

- Field and commercial experience needed;

- 3+ years of agronomy experience preferred;

- Strong verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English;

- Must be able to work on target/deadline assigned.

**Working conditions

- Most of time spent in the field/local;

- Flexible working hours;

- Available for relocation and travel (Viterbo - Northern Italy frequent travel).
